Comment from Frank:

Well, the truly great thing about these statistics
is that they are "accurate" and they do not
have a political spin to it.  These are the actual
crime index reports that are filed locally.
This means that they are "accurate" and
do not compare to how the KBI
receives and reports the information.
The drop in crime is REAL and it
is because the law enforcement
efforts throughout the county is well
organized, cooperative, collaborative
and willing to work together to reduce crime. "

KC Star Endorses Sheriff Frank Denning
"Sheriff jobs require experience, solid administrative skills"
Frank Denning has been a stable force as sheriff the last four years.

He has a good working relationship with many law enforcement officials in the county’s cities.

In leading efforts to expand the county jail, Denning has looked out for the
taxpayers’ best interests as he tries to reduce or eliminate the number of
prisoners farmed out to other jails.

He also worked hard to improve state DNA laws, making it simpler for law enforcement officials to accurately connect suspects to crimes.
